The Watershed Music Festival is shaping up to be one of summer's biggest parties, with a lineup that is one of the strongest of any of the country music festivals around. Taking place August 3-5 at the iconic Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., Watershed is set to feature a versatile lineup of artists, camping, late night sets, impromptu jam sessions, collaborations and more.
Friday's lineup includes Kix Brooks, Dwight Yoakam, and Dierks Bentley. Saturday features Sara Evans, Uncle Kracker, Tracy Lawrence and reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Ye ar Miranda Lambert, and the event closes out on Saturday with another strong slate, anchored by Brantley Gilbert and Blake Shelton.
At $150 for a three-day pass, Live Nation Entertainment's Brian O'Connell feels that the experience is one that fans can enjoy without having to worry too much about the checkbook. "The idea is affordability and accessibility," he says. "My goal is to put a festival out there that will stand the test of the time long after I'm gone and that it will still be a part of the fabric of the Pacific Northwest."
