Joey + Rory have just wrapped-up work on an “inspirational” set of gospel standards and new “faith-based” songs.
“It’s kind of an inspirational album, of old gospel songs that I grew up singing and listening to my mum sing,” Joey Martin told Billboard on the ACM Awards red carpet. “It’s an album I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” she adds.
The husband and wife pair of Joey Martin and Rory Lee Feek recently made the transition from the stage to the small screen with a TV series “The Joey + Rory Show." It’s a project Rory describes as “the most fun we’ve had in a long time.”
Joey + Rory enjoyed a major breakthrough with their debut 2008 album “The Life Of A Song,” and to–date they’ve three studio albums and a Christmas set to their name. With a fourth in the can, the country duo have partnered in a “neat marriage” with Gaither Music for its release.
The new album is due to arrive in July.
