U2's Paris Concerts: Here's Where to Watch
U2 has returned to Paris for back-to-back concerts at AccorHotels Arena on Dec. 6-7 following the deadly ISIS attacks.
In the hours leading up to Sunday night’s show, the Irish rockers informed fans that the comeback show will be streamed on Merrkat. The following night, HBO will premiere U2: Innocence + Experience Live in Paris at 9 p.m. ET.
The Paris concerts were originally scheduled for Nov. 14 and 15, but were postponed after the attacks. It was rumored that Eagles of Death Metal -- who were playing Paris’ Bataclan during the shootings -- could be joining U2 during one of the rescheduled Paris shows. On Sunday, U2 wrote on its website that EODM wouldn't appear at the Dec. 6 show -- but didn't mention anything about the following night's show.
"We're back in Paris and it's great to be here. Some people have been saying that Eagles of Death Metal will appear on stage with U2 tonight. This is not the case. We have another surprise guest planned for tonight's show," the note reads.
Bono and his bandmates were extremely supportive of Eagles of Death Metal during the tumultuous weekend, buying them new phones, offering them use of their plane, and providing counsel on what they'd just endured.
