Ryan Adams Teases Another Taylor Swift Cover: Hear Somber 'Bad Blood' Take

Ryan Adams is covering 1989 in its entirety and Taylor Swift just loves it. These are Smiths-inspired covers, mind you, so get ready for a lot of melancholy jangle; it's Adams' take on Taylor's "Bad Blood."

Swift retweeted the snippets over the weekend, so the new covers have the official seal of approval, as if there was any question. And if you're looking for the alt-country version of Adams, you've come to the wrong place. Judging by the Smiths namedrop and the snippets so far, the singer-songwriter is taking the project in the alt-rock direction.

Previously, Adams shared videos of his covers of Taylor Swift's "Welcome to New York," "Out of the Woods" and "All You Had to Do Was Stay."

Adams hasn't announced anything official (like a release date) for the Swift covers collection, and we don't even know if it will be an "official" release, or just something he posts online for fun. Since he self-releases through his own label, Pax Am, he pretty much has free reign to do whatever he pleases -- with Taylor's blessing, of course, which it seems he already has.
