Lady Gaga is ready to jump back into the pop game. One sure sign is the just-revealed cover of her upcoming single, "Perfect Illusion," which she tweeted out on Tuesday night (Sept. 6) in advance of the  song's release on Friday.

In a second pic, possibly from the song's video, Gaga is seen swinging a microphone over a cheering crowd.

Gaga also revealed some of the lyrics to the song from her as-yet-untitled album, which include: "I don't need eyes to see/ I felt you touchin' me/ High like amphetamine/ Maybe you're just a dream." At the iHeartRadio Music Summit last month Mother Monster described the inspirations of the song this way: ""The song is about modern ecstasy... We found our sweet, simple, ragey way of saying it... I get this sick adrenaline rush every time I hear it."

"Perfect Illusion" -- produced by Gaga, Mark Ronson, Tame Impala singer Kevin Parker and BloodPop -- is the singer's first solo release in almost three years and anticipation for the track is high: It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart last month, weeks before it was scheduled to arrive.
