Britney Spears Strips Down, Teases New Music In 'Private Show' Clip
This is the dictionary definition of a "teaser." Britney Spears gave fans 16 seconds of steamy action on Monday morning (July 11) via a tweet that read "stay tuned... #TakeABow," in which the singer stripped off a lacy overcoat to reveal a skimpy black monokini and danced by herself on a dimly lit stage.
After seductively throwing a power switch, the brief clip promoting her new perfume Private Show ended with the wailed refrain of what we can only assume is the new song of the same name (she's already released one perfume tie-in tune before), and an on-screen hashtag featuring those words. Private Show was released on Friday and is available exclusively at Kohl's.
At press time it was unclear what #TakeABow was referring to, though it does also happen to be the name of a Madonna song from 1994 and a Rihanna song from 2007.
Spears has been dropping hints about new music for most of this year, but no release date has been announced for her ninth album, the follow-up to 2013's Britney Jean.
