According to E! News, tattoo artist Jonathan "JonBoy" Valena gave Bieber his new ink at West 4 Tattoo in New York City, where Bieber was recently in town for the New York leg of his Purpose Tour.

"Yes, I did tattoo a small cross near the corner of Justin's eye," Valena told E! News. "It was a representation of his faith in Jesus and his journey with finding purpose in God."

When asked earlier this year if he would ever get a face tattoo, Bieber told GQ, “Maybe when I’m really old, not super old, but maybe, like, 40s or 50s or something. One above my eyebrow or something small.”

Bieber fans can catch a glimpse of his tattoo as he continues to tour. His Instagram photo was captioned: "Resting up for the show in Philly. It's gonna be a good one mark my words."
