Hear Charli XCX Sing 'Boom Clap' in Japanese
British rule-breaker Charli XCX has already made it in America. Next up, she's out to be huge in Japan. A Japanese edition of her sophomore album Sucker drops Feb. 18, and we've got a snippet of a new version of the single "Boom Clap."
Yes, that's Charli singing in Japanese, save for the song's title and the lines "This must be love" and "Come on to me." Both "Boom Clap" and "Break the Rules" are getting Japanese-language versions on the reissue, which we can only hope breaks her as a true J-pop star.
"Boom Clap" went all the way to No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, her highest hit yet as a solo artist.
