Throwback! Look Back At 'Girlfriend,' 'N Sync's Video for Their Final Single as a Group
All good things must come to an end, and so it was for 'N Sync with the release of their "Girlfriend" video.
Thirteen years ago this week, Justin, JC, Joey, Lance, and Chris released the music video for what would be their final single as a group, "Girlfriend." (*NSYNC aficionados will note that a popular video for a remix of "Girlfriend," featuring Nelly, was released in spring 2002; nevertheless, the first official vid for "Girlfriend" debuted on MTV this week in 2001.)
For this week's Throwback Thursday, we're looking back at the guys' attempt to channel The Fast and The Furious (or is it Grease?), all the while paying special attention to Justin Timberlake's hair (which he's covered with a hat). The tranformation from this to the Justified era is nearly complete!
Reminisce below, and be sure to note when the guys randomly start dancing on top of cars -- it's a nice follow-up to when the guys danced on top of a train during "Bye Bye Bye." Sadly, the dream of seeing Joey Fatone dance on top of a plane never came to fruition.
