Even though Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande are both 21, the artist formerly known as Hannah Montana is definitely Grande's pop music elder.

So it was fitting that after Sunday night's VMAs -- which found both ladies going home with Moonmen -- Cyrus reached out to Grande with a congratulatory gift: Roses and Hydrangeas (don't tell Madonna about the latter).

Cyrus won Video of the Year on Sunday night thanks to her "Wrecking Ball" clip, while Grande nabbed Best Pop Video for "Problem."

So is this a new BFF alert? Maybe, but it's kinda hard to imagine Grande getting down with the Flaming Lips.
