Miley Cyrus appears to have had one wild 4th of July weekend.
In addition to the dozens of strangely patriotic Instagram photos documenting her 4th of July — Uncle Sam mask selfie — the 21-year-old pop singer has posted several racy pictures (some of which are topless) of a new tattoo honoring the memory of her late dog Floyd, who passed away in April.
The new tattoo, which appears just below Cyrus’ left armpit, depicts the deceased Alaskan klee kai with a message that reads, “With a little help from my fwends.” The new ink comes shortly after Cyrus adopted a new Shetland sheepdog named Emu.
Speaking of friends, Cyrus is also seen posing with Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne, who appears to have gotten a matching tattoo of Floyd. The inking apparently went down on July 5 at a house party in Los Angeles, according to a tweet from Coyne, who also noted that a lot of weed-smoking went down during the festivities.
Cyrus and Coyne have been hanging out quite a bit together and recently collaborated on a cover of the Beatles' "Lucy In The Sky of Diamonds" with Miley Cyrus at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.
The wild 4th of July weekend is a fitting lead-up to Cyrus’ two-hour TV special, which will reveal behind-the-scenes footage and performance video of her controversial Bangerz tour. The show airs tonight on NBC at 9 p.m. eastern.
