Fans of “Glee” star Lea Michele received some exciting news Friday morning (July 4) after reading on her Twitter account that she’s expecting a baby boy. Soon after the tweet went out, Michele’s representatives quickly pointed out that her account had been hacked and that she’s not pregnant.
"Before this gets out to the media, I would like to announce to my fans that I am pregnant #BabyBoy," read the message, which was tweeted to 27-year-old Michele’s 4.4 million followers.
Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on the Fox TV series, was recently spotted in public with her new boyfriend Matthew Paetz. The two met earlier this year on the set of her music video for “On My Way,” from her 2014 debut album, “Louder.” Michele was previously in a relationship with “Glee” co-star Cory Monteith, who died of a heroin overdose and alcohol use in 2013.
Michele isn’t the first “Glee” cast member whose Twitter account has been hacked in recent days. On Thursday, a false tweet appeared on Chris Colfer’s account saying that the actor was leaving the show. Colfer's manager told The Hollywood Reporter that the star's verified Twitter account had been hacked and that the actor will indeed be back for the final season of "Glee," as he has a signed contract for season six.
