Four years after their "You Are The Night" album reached fans, indie-pop group Deluka is back with a new EP, "Bonds," that previews their in-the-works next full-length. "Bonds," featuring the new single "Home," is due out on June 23, but you can stream Deluka's new five-song EP in its entirety exclusively on Billboard.com:
After the British group was based in Brooklyn for the majority of their career, the four-piece opted to pack up and move to Los Angeles to work on the follow-up to "You Are The Night." "Bonds," which was produced by Tim Pagnotta (Neon Trees), reflects the shift to the West Coast mindset, according to lead singer Ellie Innocenti.
"The sound of Bonds is really about the space," says Innocenti. "It's about leaving enough room for a big chorus and soaring melodies. You could say the sound is a reflection of our move from the East to West coast. In peeling back the clutter and agitation of the city, its congestion and crowding, it helped us focus our sound into a more streamlined musical direction."
Deluka will be performing in Los Angeles on Thursday night (June 19) at Sayers Club. The group's sophomore album, "Vows," has yet to receive a release date.
