“Britney Spears has been a great success for the company and will be extended, if she wants to do it, and I cannot see why not,” Caesars Palace president Gary Selesner told the New York Daily News. “She has been filling out the place every night, and she is enjoying it and is in good health.”
“Piece of Me,” which runs about 90 minutes, began on Dec. 27, 2013, inside the 4,600-capacity Axis theater, which is booked by Live Nation and has a planetarium-like atmosphere with traditional seating, a dance floor, private tables and bottle service.
The show is being directed by award-winning lighting and touring director Baz Halpin, who has also worked on tours by Katy Perry, P!nk, Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift and Swedish House Mafia. Spears’ initial deal had her slated to perform 50 shows per year in 2014 and 2015.
The 32-year-old pop star is earning $30 million from the first two years of her current deal in Las Vegas, according to TMZ.
