The "Let Her Go" star discusses which artists inspired his next full-length.
After scoring a surprise Top 5 hit with his single "Let Her Go," British singer-songwriter Passenger is readying a new batch of material, "Whispers," for a June 10 release date. The folk artist (real name: Michael Rosenberg) called the new full-length, which has been led by the single "Scary Away The Dark," "the best thing I've done" during a recent Billboard studio session, and will support the album with a North American tour that begins in August.
Following the acoustic performance, Passenger shed some light on his "Whispers" album by naming the five biggest musical influences on the new LP, in the latest entry in Pop Shop's ongoing Gimme Five series. Watch Passenger discuss Cat Stevens, Paul Simon and more below:
