Iggy Azalea has emitted the delightful scent of nostalgia with the music video for "Fancy," her new single with Charli XCX. Front and center in the throwback clip: a certain 1995 comedy film starring Alicia Silverstone.
In the "Clueless" homage, Azalea is Cher Horowitz with all of the proper attire (yellow checkered skirt-jacket combo!) and accessories (pencil with the pink fuzzball on the eraser!). Aside from the 90's outfits, the "Fancy" videos also nods to the Amy Heckerling film's most memorable sequences -- the terrifying highway drive, the classroom flirtations with Elton, and of course, the wild house party (although the sparse "Fancy" is slightly more appealing in 2014 than Coolio's 'Rollin' With The Homies").
"The New Classic," the Australian rapper's debut album, is due out on April 14. Following the release, Azalea will embark on the New Classic tour, presented by Monster Energy, on Apr. 23. Full dates below:
