Lily Allen doesn't actually take a ride in an air balloon in the music video for new single "Air Balloon," which was released on Thursday (Feb. 6), but the U.K. songstress experiences some equally surreal trips -- as in, she hangs out with a zebra, straddles a cheetah and floats in space.
For most of the video, Allen is presented as a carefree hippy in a field, jamming with zoo animals and some chilled-out friends. Soon, though, the singer is surrounded by magic (and quick-sprouting) mushrooms, and is twirling in the blackness of space when she has to nimbly dodge a giant crucifix. Far-out!
Allen's last video, for the biting satire "Hard Out Here," was unexpectedly released in November and has since collected 19.9 million YouTube views. "Hard Out Here" was the first taste of Allen's third studio album, due out in late spring.
"Air Balloon," which was produced by Shellback, was released last month as another offering from the forthcoming album. Allen has also unveiled a new song, "L8 CMMR," that will appear on the "Girls Volume 2" soundtrack.
