The singer is dropping four new holiday tracks in fans' stockings.
Move over, Justin Bieber: another under-21 pop phenom, Ariana Grande, is releasing one new song per week before the end of the year. The Nickelodeon star is quickly following her debut album "Yours Truly" by giving fans a set of Christmas songs, with the first, "Last Christmas," coming on Nov. 19.
"I'm releasing new music for Christmas!" the 20-year-old posted on Twitter on Wednesday (Nov. 6). "New song every week as a countdown to the holidays starting Nov19. Beyond excited to share them w/ U!"
A rep for Republic Records tells Billboard that there will be four Christmas songs in total in the weekly series, and they will not be packaged as a standalone EP. The tracks will be announced each week, and as Grande herself told fans, there will be original songs as well as covers.
The Christmas songs are just the tip of Grande's hectic next two months, as the "Baby I" singer will perform at the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and on the inaugural Jingle Ball tour. Grande is also nominated for Best New Artist at the 2013 American Music Awards, and will appear at the Nov. 24 ceremony.
