Mariah Carey Announces New Single, 'The Art Of Letting Go'

Three days after Mariah Carey gave her Facebook followers an update on her injured shoulder and delayed new album, the singer has announced that a new single, "The Art of Letting Go," will premiere on Facebook next month.

The follow-up to "#Beautiful" will reach fans on Nov. 11 at 11:00 am ET, Carey posted on Facebook. "This song is so personal to me and I'm very excited to share this experience with you in such an intimate way," Carey wrote. "'I can't even know what to say'!!! We're less than a month away and I can't wait to answer all your questions and share this experience with you."

The follow-up to Carey's 2009 album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" was originally scheduled to be released on July 23, but the singer delayed the album and then had to recover from a shoulder injury suffered while filming a music video in early July. In another Facebook post on Friday, Carey wrote, "I am on my way to a full recovery," and that new music would be released "very soon."

"#Beautiful," her duet with Miguel, peaked at No. 15 on the Hot 100 chart earlier this year. Jermaine Dupri, a frequent collaborator with the pop veteran, recently joined Carey's management team.
