Does Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' Resemble Korean Guitarist's 'Robot Dance'? (Poll)

Daft Punk

Daft Punk's inescapable "Get Lucky" was everywhere this summer while most people have never heard Korean guitarist Zack Kim's instrumental posted to YouTube in 2011, but could the French robots' big 2013 hit be a sound-alike to Kim's "Robot Dance"?

Kim's vocal-less track is centered on a dulcet chord progression that some some say is not unlike the key guitar line from "Get Lucky." On the other hand, there are only so many viable chord progressions in all of music, so two different songs can easily come from similar fretwork.

What do you think? Do the two songs sound alike?

"Get Lucky" isn't the first of 2013's big summer songs that has drawn comparisons to another artist's tune. As previously reported, comparisons of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and Marvin Gaye's 1977 song "Got To Give It Up" made headlines in August.
