The golden voices of Ariana Grande and The Wanted's Nathan Sykes have joined forces for the ballad "Almost Is Never Enough," which will be featured in the upcoming film "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" and has been given a delicate music video.
The official music video for the track, directed by The Young Astronauts and released on Monday (Aug. 19), is straightforward enough -- Grande and Sykes hang in the studio, hug a few times, and snap along to the song's rhythm with a few friends. There's some footage of "The Mortal Instruments" spliced in, and Sykes makes some especially fantastic faces while smashing the high notes.
"Almost Is Never Enough" will appear on both Grande's debut album, "Yours Truly," due out Sept. 3, as well as on the "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" soundtrack, out Aug. 20. Grande and Sykes debuted the song live on Aug. 10 in Atlanta, while the former was enjoying a brief stint opening for Justin Bieber on his Believe tour.
Grande's breakout hit "The Way" (featuring Mac Miller) remains at No. 20 on the current Hot 100 chart, while Sykes and his Wanted mates recently debuted a new single, "We Own The Night."
