Ivy Levan, the entrancing pop singer-songwriter and recent Cherrytree/Interscope signee, refined her uninhibited, soul-infused stylings on her "Introducing The Dame" EP, which was released last month. After earning some attention for the official clips for "Hot Damn" and "Money," Levan is back with the music video for the kicky track "I Don't Wanna Wake Up," premiering exclusively on Billboard.com:
The black-and-white video finds the Arkansas native becoming both more glamorous and more dastardly as she ties up a few wrongdoers and sets their sins ablaze. Sure, she's an arsonist -- but Levan has just cause, and she looks fabulous while strolling out of the wreckage in the final video of the "Introducing The Dame" video comic trilogy.
"These are my stories -- taking life's lemons and making a music pie," says Levan. "I ain't tryna preach a message, just trying to have a good time."
Levan recently wrapped a month-long stint opening for Fitz and the Tantrums and has no upcoming tour dates, so get to know her charismatic "Introducing The Dame" EP before she heads back out on the road.
