Leave it to Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran to fully return us cynical adults to the wonders of childhood in a little over four minutes. In the impossibly adorable music video for "Everything Has Changed," the singer-songwriters showcase miniature doppelgängers building an everlasting friendship at a tender age.
There's no real dramatic thrust in the "Everything Has Changed" clip -- romantic tension isn't an issue for this little girl with flowing blonde curls and red-headed boy, who just want to design cookies, paint their faces and read Nicholas Sparks' "The Notebook" as much as they darn well please. The climax of the clip is a heart-melting slow dance in an empty gymnasium; just try to resist the urge to sob, even before Swift and Sheeran even make a cameo at the end of the video.
"Everything Has Changed" is the latest single from Swift's mega-selling "22" album, which has already spawned the hits "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Begin Again," "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "22." Swift and Sheeran are currently on tour together to support the album, which will continue through September in North America.
Swift has also joined the lineup of presenters at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto on June 16. Sheeran, along with Demi Lovato, PSY, Avril Lavigne and others, will perform at the ceremony.
