The "Smash" singer breaks down her favorite recent live shows, from Bey to MMJ.
"Smash" star and Columbia recording artist Megan Hilty knows a thing or two about a compelling live show: the 31-year-old singer, who released her debut album "It Happens All The Time" last week, is a Broadway veteran as well, having starred in "Wicked" beginning in 2004. And although her own music is riddled with sumptuous pop moments, Hilty tells Billboard that her most memorable moments in live music appreciation have leaned toward rock and folk artists.
While recently stopping by Billboard's New York studio to perform a pair of songs and discuss her debut album, Hilty also shed some insight into the best concerts that she's attended recently, from Beyonce's triumphant return to the soulful sounds of Fleet Foxes.
