Hopefully Killer Mike is getting hazard pay at this year's SXSW.

The Run the Jewels rapper is suffering through a shoulder injury caused by an onstage attack, as he revealed onstage at Stubbs' BBQ on Friday, according to NME. The offending incident happened during another festival performance on Monday, when a man rushed the stage in an apparent attempt to punch Run the Jewels' El-P before Mike and security intercepted the man. The aggravator allegedly accused Run the Jewels of stealing lyrics and attempted to fight others in the crowd.

Mike reportedly told his crowd at Stubbs that after the incident, he flew back to Atlanta to see a doctor, who diagnosed him with a torn rotator cuff and advised him to stop performing.

"I was like, 'Doctor, I'm not leaving the road,'" Mike told the appreciative audience. "The tour goes on!"

As Run the Jewels segued into their track "Banana Clipper," a track from their self-titled debut album that orginally featured Big Boi, El-P referenced the attack. "Last time we did this song, it was interrupted," he told the Stubbs crowd. "Let's not let that happen again."
