“We’ve been on the road for the past two-and-a-half years, so we’re just winding down,” MS MR vocalist Lizzy Plapinger says. “This is one of the last festivals we’re doing of the summer — going out with a big bang. And then spending the rest of the summer and fall writing and recording. We’re looking forward to putting some new material out.”

MS MR, which also includes producer Max Hershenow, released its debut album, “Secondhand Rapture,” in May 2013 through Columbia Records. Since then, the two-piece embarked on its first headlining tour that visited markets like New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Columbus, Toronto and Montreal.

One of MS MR’s career highlights so far was the use of its song “Bones” in the season 3 trailer for HBO’s “Game Of Thrones,” which helped the group gain significant exposure.

“We’re huge fans. No one was more excited about that sync than we were,” Plapinger says. “We’re very worried that there’s only one episode left, because I feel like there are so many loose ends that need to be tied up.”
