Being on the road doesn't leave a lot of time for a band to create new music, but Chrvches is making it work.
"We're getting better at it. As the press has kind of eased off, and the tour has become more about shows, there's much more spare time to come up with new things and try new ideas. We're really starting to get our head on the second record now," Martin Doherty tells Billboard, while at Bonnaroo.
"In the beginning of all this, there wasn't time for much else, then if you've got a session, interviews, then a show. Every day on tour was full. Now there's a bit more time," he adds.
The group also acknowledges the fans' frustration about band's schedule. "Everyime people get upset, 'You've only played in Boston twice!' And I'm like 'Yeah, but we've played in some places zero times,'" Lauren Mayberry explains. "But it's a nice thing for people to be angry about it."
