Heavy Storms Shake Up Lollapalooza

Top 5 Lolla 'WTF?!' Moments

After he rocked fans on Lollapalooza's PlayStation stage over the weekend, Michael Kiwanuka stopped by Billboard's tent to chat with our very own Jonathan Brooks and perform an acoustic version of "I'm Getting Ready." Watch above!

The British singer-songwriter dished about artists that influenced his music -- The Beatles, The Strokes, Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding -- his writing style, tour dates he has coming up, and the experience of playing Lollapalooza.

"It's kind of obvious when people hear the music that I'm really influenced by a lot of American music," Kiwanuka said. "So to be able to come out here and play shows, and for people to know the record out in America is kind of a dream come true -- just to be here, hanging out at Lollapalooza, playing the songs."

Up next for Kiwanuka is Montreal's Osheaga Festival, then a string of dates up and down the California coast. This fall, he's headed out on tour -- making stops across the U.S. His first studio album, "Home Again," debuted in March.
