Sam Adams is the upstart electro-rapper who got his own party started right to the top of the iTunes digital hip-hop charts last month. But now you can open your ears to the Boston MC, who recently told Billboard.com that he thanked all the haters for their attention, tackling the SoCal sounds of Sublime's classic 90's rock anthem, "What I Got."
Adams, whose "Driving Me Crazy" raced up the chart so fast people could barely believe it, says he chose to cover the summery Sublime track because, "It's a really fun song, a nice blend." A fan for years, Adams says he used to listen to it when he was younger "on snowboard trips with all my boys." The original track did it's own notable chart climb, "What I Got" spent three weeks atop Billboard's Modern Rock chart back in 1996.
