Two weeks ago, we sent out the call that The Summer Set was about to rock Mashup Mondays, but it was up to you, the reader to decide on what song the emo-pop quintet would cover. The results of the poll are in! With a choice of Counting Crows' "Mr. Jones, " Kenny Chesney's "Somewhere With You," and Blake Shelton's current Country hit "Honey Bee," you voted for TSS to play Shelton's tune. Watch the performance, complete with harmonica, in the video player above.

"I had a feeling," TSS singer Brian Dales says of what song the fans chose. "'Honey Bee' is definitely one of the most popular songs currently. We just think it's a great song in general."
"We are all closet Country addicts," guitarist John Gomez says.
"It's not that closet anymore," Dales adds.
The Summer Set, who found a loyal audience as soon as it released its debut EP "…In Color" in 2008, has come a long way since forming four years ago. The Scottsdale, Ariz. band has played the Warped Tour, released another EP and dropped a great debut album (2009's "Love Like This" hit No. 3 on the Heatseekers chart), and now, they're back in fans' hearts with new album "Everything's Fine," which hit stores in July. But Shelton's "Honey Bee," which reached No. 1 on the Country Songs chart, isn't the first cool, counterintuitive cover the band has tackled. (you must hear their 2008 take on Usher's "Love in This Club").
But the Summer Set does have a little more in common with Shelton than choice chart success. The two artists both gained a wider audience through music reality television; Shelton as a coach on NBC's "The Voice," and TSS via a song ("Chelsea") featured during ABC's "Dancing With The Stars." Check out the Summer set talking about "Everything's Fine" and performing one of its own tunes below.
