Update: As of Friday (June 19), you can watch the entire video for Trevi's new single:
In the new music video to "Como yo te Amo" (How I Love You), the first single off her upcoming album, El Amor, Gloria Trevi sings dressed in a man's tux with a top hat.
That's because half of her album is performed from the perspective of a man, while the other half is performed from the perspective of a woman.
"Como yo te Amo," she tells Billboard, "talks about that big love you feel for somebody. I sang that song in a very special moment, because I sang it singing how I would like to be loved by a man. I wanted to be the man of my fans; the man of my women -- and the one who can tell the other guys how you should love a woman."
The single was produced by Humberto Gatica, who updated the classic 1980 version by legendary Spanish balladeer Raphael with modern, symphonic arrangements and Trevi's powerhouse vocals.
