Players kick it to the new song "Botas" in psychedelic video for Brazil-themed Samba collection
"Bota" ("Boot") is the grooving new song by Portugal's Buraka Som Sistema heard in the just-released video for FIFA partner Adidas' new Samba Collection of bright-colored cleats.
The jumping, club-friendly track features Brazilian rapper Karol Conka who has been making noise in Brazil with a combination of hip-hop, electronic and Brazilian afro beats on her album "BatukFreak" (Mr. Bongo).
A documentary about the Buraka Som Sistema, produced in collaboration with Red Bull Music Academy and directed by João Pedro Moreira, premieres in Lisbon later this month.
Buraka Som Sistema, a collective of DJs, MCs, percussionists and dancers, are leaders of the Portuguese kuduro scene. Their bootylicious techno music is based on the Angolan beat that inspired Don Omar and Lucenzo's Latin hit "Danza Kuduro."
Adidas Football has hit the ground running with this one-and-a-half-minute electro-funk fest for their World Cup campaign, with a pop art-style video that shows soccer players and Brazilians warming up for the 2014 games.
