Jenni Rivera Calls Off TV Show Plans: 'Things Didn't Work Out'
Jenni Rivera 'Amazed' by Reality TV Success: 'I'm Just Being Myself'

Jenni Rivera, who just last week announced she would host a TV show titled "Jenni" on Estrella TV, wrote yesterday on her Twitter account that the deal is off.

"Dear fans and followers," Rivera wrote. "Letting you know that as of yesterday [Oct. 11] I have officially retired from the TV show programmed with Estrella TV. I took this decision because things didn't work out as we thought. Perhaps in the future I can offer the TV show I so wanted to present to you. The radio project is still a go. Thanks!"

With the "Radio project," Rivera was referring to "Contacto Directo con Jenni Rivera," which will begin airing this month on Entravision Communciations stations across the country. The four-hour talk show will air once a week.

Rivera will perform at he upcoming Billboard Mexican Music Awards Oct. 20 and will also receive Telemundo's Premio de la Estrella, recognizing the achievements of a musical artist beyond the realm of the performance.
