K-pop sensation Crayon Pop, the colorful quintet who scored a viral hit last year with the infectious, dance craze-creating single "Bar Bar Bar," have been announced as one of the openers on Lady Gaga's upcoming "Artpop" tour.

An "excited" Gaga said Thursday that the group will join her "Artrave: The Artpop Ball" tour for several dates beginning June 26 through July 22. Gaga's itinerary during that span indicates Crayon Pop will perform in markets including Milwaukee, Boston, Toronto, Chicago and Houston before ending their stretch with a two-night stand at Staples Center in Los Angeles on July 21-22.

Crayon Pop made a splash last summer with the video for "Bar Bar Bar," which featured the group in helmets and brightly-colored outfits while performing a "straight-five engine dance" -- simulating the up-and-down motion of engine cylinders.

The song topped the K-Pop Hot 100 in August 2013 after the video went viral and a month later they inked a deal with Sony Music Korea. In December, Crayon Pop released a quirky holiday song, "Lonely Christmas," and a new single, titled "Hey," is planned for April 1.

The group had no plans to visit international markets when Billboard spoke with them in August. "But we really, really want to meet our foreign fans that have been supporting and loving us," they said.
