Girl group sings, raps and harmonizes in English and Korean -- and nail the hand-clap/cup routine
Rookie K-pop girl group SPICA have unveiled a Korean-English cover of Anna Kendrick's Top 10 Hot 100 hit, "Cups (Pitch Perfect's When I'm Gone)."
In the 1:43 video, the five members of SPICA sing, rap and harmonize in English and Korean acappella. All the while they perform the same hand clap/cup routine seen in the "Pitch Perfect" film and music video.
SPICA's singles like "Potently," "I'll Be There" and "Painkiller" (the last which was named one of Billboard's Top 20 K-Pop Songs of 2012) have hovered around the Top 40, 50 or 60s of the K-Pop Hot 100. Kendrick's "Cups" is at No. 10 with a bullet on the Billboard Hot 100 after 29 weeks on the chart.
