"Seems like there's another ME at Cannes," South Korean superstar tweets.
After days of a PSY impostor gallivanting around the 2013 Cannes Film Festival dressed as the South Korean rapper, the real "Gangnam Style" star has finally stood up.
On Wednesday (May 22), PSY called out the unauthorized impersonator on Twitter, good-naturedly telling his 2.8 million Twitter followers, "Seems like there's another ME at Cannes…say Hi to him @scooterbraun lol #PSYinSINGAPORE." He also posted a photo of the impostor, who was sporting the rapper's signature round sunglasses, trimmed suit and slicked-back hair.
According to the Atlantic Wire, the fake PSY attended parties, posed with celebrities like actress Naomie Harris and basketball star Nicolas Batum, and appeared in a video for a radio station during his time at the annual film festival, which runs through May 26. The still-unidentified man also attended a party hosted by jewelry company Chopard in which over $1 million of jewels was stolen.
The PSY-psyching isn't all that surprising -- after all, with a global hit like "Gangnam Style" and a successful follow-up in "Gentleman," who wouldn't want to be PSY? Watch the real PSY in action backstage at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards below:
