DMX returned to Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club on Tuesday (June 28) and didn't skimp on conversation. Over the course of the hour-long discussion with the morning trio DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God, Dark Man X revealed changing his opinion about Drake, his recent health scare and upcoming album.

Recall in 2012 when the New York rapper appeared on the same platform and kept it real about his thoughts on Drake. "I don't like anything about Drake," X said at the time. "I don't like his voice, I don't like the sh-- he talks about, I don't like his face, I don't like the way he walks, I don't like his haircut, just nothing."

After Drake reached out to X to sample him on his fourth studio effort Views (the Canadian rhymer sampled 1999's "What These B----es Want" on "U With Me?"), DMX flipped his perception of him. "Man, another humbling experience," he recalled. "'Cause people were like, 'Yo, you didn’t like this guy for all the wrong reasons.' For him to take the effort first to want to use a song of mine and then to be man enough to reach out and make that call, I was like, ‘Homie, hats off.’ That was a real move. I salute him for that.”

Earlier this year, X was hospitalized following an asthma attack and explained what happened. "My heart stopped for four minutes and I have asthma," he said. Still, DMX says he's continuously penning bars in his rhyme book. "I'm banging the music out," he said. "I'm not really waiting on anybody."

While X gets goofy when it comes to social media ("I can't even say the word 'tweet,'" he says at one point), he has an emotional moment reflecting on the presence of God in his life at the 18-minute mark.
