Missy Elliott & Queen Latifah Joining Michelle Obama's SXSW Keynote
First Lady Michelle Obama will grace the SXSW stage tomorrow (March 16) for her keynote panel with a star-studded squad, including rapper Missy Elliott, songwriter phenom Diane Warren, and actress Sophia Bush, as well as moderator, the multi-hyphenate Queen Latifah.
The women will pool their life experiences together and engage in "a dialogue on finding one’s passion, music, and the importance of girls’ education everywhere," the event description offers. The First Lady will also be spotlighting the Obama Administration initiative Let Girls Learn, which aims to assist adolescent girls in completing their education across the globe. Hailey and Chloe Bailey -- the viral YouTube singing sister duo currently signed to Beyonce's Parkwood Entertainment -- will serve as the event's opening act.
President Barack Obama recently hosted his keynote on March 11, poking fun at the Obamacare website and calling on the tech industry to tackle nation's issues like climate change and health care.
Mrs. Obama's keynote presentation -- co-presented by AOL Makers -- will take place at 11 a.m. on March 16 at the Austin Convention Center's Ballroom D. Catch the livestream at 10:30 a.m. CDT at sxsw.com/live and at AOL’s MAKERS site: www.makers.com.
