Lil Wayne Clocks Studio Time With Birdman But Lawsuit Reportedly Still On
Despite Lil Wayne and Birdman's public reconciliation, there may be some unfinished business. Despite their celebratory reunion at Weezy's LIV show this past Sunday, his $51 million lawsuit against Baby is still on, according to TMZ.
Lil Wayne's main demands in the suit allegedly include releasing the long-delayed album Tha Carter V and being compensated for millions he says are owed to him.
News of the hefty suit first popped up last January following a series of tweets the New Orleans rapper fired off about his label situation. "I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain't that easy," he wrote at the time.
Still, the two seem to be working at their relationship as Birdman posted a photo of him and Wayne in the studio with Yo Gotti on Wednesday night (Jan. 20).
"Studio flow #yo Gotti#YMCMB4LIFE #richgang #cmg#lifestyle #STUNNAMAN #mula #Blatt," Birdman wrote in the caption.
Billboard has reached out to Lil Wayne's rep for comment.
