Courtney Love Fights Guitar Hero, Chickenfoot Crosses Country

In this Friday edition of the Daily Noise, brought to you by Fuse and Billboard, Guitar Hero endures the Twitter-wrath of Courtney Love, viewers flock to "Glee," and Chickenfoot crosses the country.

Although late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain is a playable avatar in the new Guitar Hero 5, his former bandmates Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic are asking the game's makers, Activision, to only allow Cobain to be used in conjunction with the two Nirvana songs, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Lithium," instead of allowing players to use Cobain's likeness to play the other 83 songs. Activision said Cobain's widow Courtney Love approved the use, but Love angrily Tweeted she'd sue, along with some four letter words.

Fox's new series "Glee" grabbed over seven million viewers during its premiere, firmly holding down the 18-49 demographic. The show follows a Spanish teacher who leads a group of down-on-their-luck high school performers.

In Road Report, Chickenfoot has ridden the wave of their popular self-titled debut. The band will headline Colorado's Rock Jam Festival with Puddle of Mudd and Huey Lewis & the News before ending their current tour at the end of month.
