Love Is a Battlefield In Brad Paisley & Demi Lovato's 'Without A Fight' Video
Brad Paisley steams things up on his latest single. “Good as we are at getting’ it on/ How come we just can’t get along?” he sings. “The way we love, it don’t seem right/ The way we fuss, the way we fight/ I got a crazy idea, how ‘bout maybe tonight/ We make up without a fight?”
He’s got one thing on his mind, and the result may be his best single in years, a streamlined bolt of guitar pop. Paisley wrote the track with longtime collaborators Lee Thomas Miller and Kelley Lovelace – both are also credited on “The World,” one of Paisley’s most undeniable songs. Demi Lovato adds backing vocals, though for some reason she is not allowed to torch her way through a verse. Lovato and Paisley previously teamed up to perform “Stone Cold” at the iHeartMusic awards.
Lovato also shows up in the video for “Without A Fight,” which arrived Friday. The clip mostly keeps things chaste – none of the sheet-tangling that’s described in the lyrics makes it onto the screen. Jeff Venable directed the visual; Michelle Wang and Greg Hill produced it for Lead Hook Creative.
On the most recent Country Airplay chart, “Without A Fight” climbed to No. 23. Paisley’s last album, Moonshine In The Trunk, came out in 2014.
