Sutherland was also named a presenter at April 3's ACM Awards.

Earlier this month, former 24 star Kiefer Sutherland announced plans for a debut album. The Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner has taken on the new role of country singer-songwriter, and plans to release a debut album called Down in a Hole this summer. Today (March 28) Sutherland shared the first sampling of that album -- an old school country song called “Not Enough Whiskey.”

Check out the video below.

"I've certainly been there, where something will happen in life, and one, two, three bottles of whiskey are not going to fix it," Sutherland told Rolling Stone. The actor self-financed the video and scouted out the location himself, along with songwriting collaborator Jude Cole. “A lot of actors make records but won't tour to support them or make videos, and it ends up not being serious.”

In that spirit, Sutherland is touring behind the new album, too. Along with the video, Sutherland added additional dates to his forthcoming U.S. tour, which you can find below. The trek starts off April 14 in Milwaukee.

A press release from Sutherland’s rep assures Down in a Hole’s release date and full track listing will be announced “soon.”
