Billboard is in a remix mood this morning, and we’re excited to present a pounding, propulsive new take on a song that already boasted strong dance floor vibes -- Zhu’s “Paradise Awaits,” re-imagined by the Australian indie-house trio Rüfüs Du Sol. Check it out below:

The original version of “Paradise Awaits” (stream below) was released on Zhu’s 2014 EP The Nightday. "Zhu came out of nowhere with this super catchy sound that no one else is really doing,” Rüfüs Du Sol tells Billboard. “A mutual friend suggested we put our touch on it. We've been sitting on this one since June and just dropping it in DJ sets here and there. Stoked to be sharing it with the world.”

The remix takes the original template and stretches out its buildups -- almost making time stand blissfully still -- for maximum satisfaction when the chorus hits. When it does, the bass drops are absolutely jarring, backed by a heightened house pulse.

Rüfüs Du Sol is keyboardist Jon George, vocalist/guitarist Tyrone Lindqvist, and drummer James Hunt. The trio recently began a North American tour to support 2013’s album Atlas. Check out the dates below:
