Los Angeles imprint Culprit is celebrating its fifth anniversary in style.

Originally formed by members of L.A. DJ collective Droog, Culprit’s diverse blend of international stars like Jamie Jones and homegrown talent like Justin Jay have helped it emerge as a credible West Coast voice in the underground dance scene.

As if showcasing acclaimed U.K. artist Jozif on a new three-track EP weren’t enough, the Hollywood underground institution also tapped London’s Leftroom label-owner Matt Tolfrey to provide remix duties on its latest release.

"Jozif and Matt Tolfrey have been Culprit's pillars throughout our five years,” says Droog’s Andrei Osyka. “Original songs, remixes and world class DJing at Culprit parties -- these two are the inner circle. This release is the first time they've been on one together and it just works."

Listen to the full premiere of Tolfrey’s remix of “Good Man” exclusively on Billboard:

Tolfrey’s remix strips Jozif’s upbeat original of its synth adornments and transforms it into a hypnotic track with a shifting, arpeggiated melody well suited for afterhours sets.

“I absolutely love what Mr. Tolfrey has done with this,” says Jozif. “Considering the original is a sunny, strings and vocal affair, he's turned it into a naughty 4am Fabric number."

Jozif’s Waikiki EP will be available through Culprit on September 29.
