Viceroy

Looking for a summer anthem? Viceroy has you covered.

The San Francisco artist has teamed up with Penguin Prison’s Christopher Glover on the first sun-soaked single off his forthcoming full-length debut. Glover provides a calming, carefree narrative over Viceroy’s trademark bumping bass and earnest acoustic guitar chords. Sporting complementary horns and smooth disco-inspired vibes, this tropical house collaboration has summer written all over it.

Listen to the full premiere of the track exclusively on Billboard CODE:

“"The Life" really encompasses my motto 'Summertime All The Time'; grab your friends, get outside, and don't let anything get in the way of you having a good time,” says Viceroy. “Penguin Prison's vocals really bring the vision full circle, pushing the song to that exciting next level. It's not a complex idea by any means: just live it up!"”

Viceroy’s latest release comes on the heels of a superlative past year that has seen the California producer enjoy a breakout single in “Dream of Bombay” and lend his talents to official remixes for the likes of Lady Gaga, Maroon Five and Passion Pit. Viceroy has also consistently topped the Hype Machine with his “Jet Life” remix series, which has seen him reinterpret classic hip-hop cuts like Nelly’s “Ride Wit Me” and Notorious B.I.G.’s “Going Back to Cali.”

Viceroy ft. Penguin Prison - “The Life” is now available through Vitalic Noise.
