CODE Picks of the Week: Pretty Lights, RAC, More

Pretty Lights

Pretty Lights, “Lost and Found” (Odesza remix) [Interscope]

If the trailers for forthcoming film “Divergent” are any indication, this franchise should be as pulse-pounding as the books. Odesza highlights the emotional side of the post-utopian storyline, enhancing Pretty Lights’ trademark angsty dysphoria for a tune that is as found as Tris is lost.

RAC featuring Alex Ebert, “Tear You Down” [Cherrytree/Interscope]

This might actually be less dance music and more classic rock produced by electronic music producer RAC or that just might be Ebert’s relentlessly rock vocal - and that’s hardly a complaint. What’s genre anyway?

Mr. Little Jeans, “Good Mistake” (Yacht remix)

Fun is the common denominator between Mr. Little Jeans and Yacht, thus this remix is all the good and none of the mistake.

TJR featuring Benji Madden, “Come Back Down” [Rising Music]

Fans of Good Charlotte have likely grown up into EDM heads. At least that’s a fair assumption based on the ease with which Benji Madden slides into TJR’s latest.

Kissey, “Dance The Pain Away” [KISSKISS Records]

Slow and steady, this methodical dance designed to assuage the anguish might rile you up if you’re not prepared for the sexy little nuances within.
