New York electro-pop trio Cash Cash has slowly but surely built a following thanks in part to its production work on Krewella's hit "Live For The Night," remixes of songs like Bruno Mars' "Treasure" and Icona Pop's "All Night," and the kinetic dance music on its debut EP "Overtime." That six-song collection, released last week on Big Beat Records, is highlighted by the single "Take Me Home," which features vocals from Bebe Rexha and is closing in on the top spot of Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, where it lifts 3-2 this week.
Along with the vibrant regular mix of "Take Me Home," Cash Cash has stripped down the track with an official acoustic version. Check out the music video for the "Take Me Home" acoustic version, premiering exclusively on Billboard.com, below:
"We always start the writing process on an acoustic guitar or piano before it translates over to synths and electronic drums," says Cash Cash's Jean Paul Makhlouf, who forms the group with Alex Makhlouf and Samuel Frisch. "We knew an acoustic version would show a whole different side to the song, so we brought it back to the foundation and built a whole new house on top of it."
Cash Cash will perform a string of headlining club dates in North America later this month, kicking off tomorrow night (Nov. 7) at Fluxx in San Diego. Watch the lyric video for "Take Me Home," which has garnered 664,000 YouTube views to date, below:
