The group’s new album arrives as its new single scale Dance/Electronic Songs. Plus Zedd, Yoko Ono, Empire of the Sun and Katy Perry score chart victories.
The first full-length album from EDM trio Krewella, “Get Wet,” debuts at No. 1 on Dance/Electronic Albums (and No. 8 on the Billboard 200) with sales of 27,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The set, which also features breakout hits “Killin’ It,” which reached No. 29 on Dance/Club Play Songs a year ago, and “Alive,” which rose to No. 9 on Pop Songs and No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May, is driven by new single “Live for the Night,” which accelerates 16-11 on Dance/Electronic Songs. The track is also up 3-2 on Dance Club/Play Songs and holds steady at No. 4 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay.

Another song off the album, “Enjoy the Ride,” debuts on Dance/Electronic Songs at No. 44 and on Dance/Electronic Digital Songs at No. 25 (6,000 downloads sold).
ZEDD AHEAD: The arrival of the deluxe edition of Zedd’s album "Clarity" pushes the opus 6-5 on Dance/Electronic Albums (6,000, up 340%), while it also re-enters the Billboard 200 at No. 70.
New track “Stay the Night” soars into the top 10 on Dance/Electronic Songs (14-9) as the Streaming Gainer, taking 65% of its 2,000 streams from YouTube and 31% from Spotify.
THRICE IS NICE FOR 'ICE': Yoko Ono refreshes her first Dance/Club Play Songs No. 1, “Walking on Thin Ice,” with all new remixes and takes it to the top again, marking her 11th No. 1. She first reinvented the original version, which reached No. 13 on Dance/Club Play Songs in 1981, for dance clubs in 2003, with it reaching No. 1 via versions from Pet Shop Boys, Danny Tenaglia and Felix Da Housecat. Now, thanks to remixes from Dave Aude, R3hab and Ralphi Rosario, among others, Ono crowns the chart again with the aptly renamed “Walking on Thin Ice 2013.”
This marks the third time an artist has taken a song to No. 1 twice on Dance/Club Play Songs: Jennifer Holliday doubled up with “No Frills Love” in 1986 and 1996 and Jody Watley ruled with “Looking for a New Love” in 1987 and again in 2005.
EMPIRE STRIKES: Empire of the Sun enters Dance/Electronic Songs at No. 36 with “DNA.” Hailing from the act's No. 2-peaking Dance/Electronic album “Ice on the Dune,” “DNA” is powered by just-released remixes by Calvin Harris and Alex Metric, among others.
PERRY POWER: Katy Perry grabs her 11th top five hit on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, as “Roar,” well, roars 14-5 (up 67% in plays, according to Nielsen BDS). Only David Guetta (12) and Rihanna (14) have more top five entries on the chart.
Meanwhile, remixes from Steven Redant, Treasure Fingers and Scott Mills help push Perry 8-3 on Dance/Club Play Songs, where she looks to score an 11th No. 1 with the song in coming weeks.
