The UK producer delivers a two-step-inspired track with a high contrast video.
With his roots in grime and some drum’n’bass, London-based producer T. Williams has an impressive underground resume. But with his new track “On My Own,” a catchy bumping tune featuring R&B-tinged vocals from vocalist Tala, Williams could be approaching crossover status. Williams launched his North American tour last night at Sound in Los Angeles in support of his new EP, “Feelings Within,” a collection that Williams says showcases a harder, grittier side of himself. Check out the exclusive premiere of the video for “On My Own” here:
“It’s shot in black and white because it’s all about balancing the light and dark in the track,” Williams says of the video. “The story is pretty different, so I will let people make up their own mind about that.”
Recording with Tala in his London studio, Williams calls the track his “proudest to date.”
“Tala is a really talented singer and songwriter,” he says. “It all worked out really well. The song and instrumental just came together very naturally. Her voice really suits the vibe of the track.”
T. Williams is on tour with Mosca through early October. “Feelings Within” is out now on PMR.
