The Swedish superstar will hit the green for a second straight year, this time for a two-night stint.
Cryptic teaser posters were released last week, but now it’s official: Steve Angello’s SIZE In The Park will return to New York’s Central Park for a second straight year, Billboard has learned. Touting expanded production and special guests, Angello will hit the park’s Rumsey Playfield on September 27 and 28.
“New York has always been really close to my heart,” says Angello, Size Records label boss and one-third of dearly departed DJ supergroup Swedish House Mafia. “It’s an amazing city with a lot of passion for music and creativity. I always turn to New York for something special.”
Last year’s sold-out show featured support from Size acts like DJ duo Third Party, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and Max Vangeli and AN21 (aka Antoine Angello, Steve’s brother). While supporting DJs for this year’s shows have yet to be announced, Angello hints that the additional day will allow him to bring an even wider array of artists to the stage.
“It’s gonna be organized better, and hopefully no rain — although I like the rain,” he joked, referring to the torrential downpour that somewhat hampered last year’s festivities. “Maybe a little snow would do the trick this time.”
Tickets for the Size In The Park go on sale August 9 at 12 p.m. EST.
